How do the different FANG companies compare with regards to the amount of brainwashing of their employees? Specifically interested in how Amazon compares...

I haven’t worked at the other fang companies, but Facebook has a nauseating amount of Kool-Aid. Might be leaving to google soon so I can compare then

Ugh so true. During orientation people were talking about how they had met friends for life, and they just really knew that FB lived its values. And the whole time, I was like, "Uh, we've only spent one day here".
Google has a pretty good amount of Koolaid. Especially if you go to the TGIFs, it's hard not to be proud of some of the things Google is doing. That said, over time, that fades and Google is just another great company to work for. (Great tools, smart people, generally comepetitive pay, and when ethical issues arise, they try to do the right thing) ... In the Bay Area, working for Google doesn't have the same glamor it used to have. If you wanna get laid, work elsewhere (Just my 2 cents)

Interviewed at lot of places fb people seem to drink a loooot of kool aid. Took their offer for precisely this reason.

Amazon is pretty low on koolaid compared to others, probably because Amazon cares less about its employees. You’re here to get shit done.
Complete opposite. Amazon is far and away the highest koolaid. Employees work extremely hard and believe that they own the company which is why they are ok without perks and back weighted vesting. Here to "get shit done" without question is the definition of koolaid in this sense. Don't complain, don't ask questions, believe in the leader, just "drink." Lucky for Amazon jeffb is pretty awesome!
