L1-B to B1/B2
Has anyone here filed a change of status petition to visitor while having an active L1-B? I need some tips. I heard it’s better to apply for B1/B2 while being in status in the country than later and that one could have both the visa stamps at the same time.

Are you a visitor for pleasure/business? If not, then it’s risky.
I am planning to file for visitor for pleasure, so that I can atleast visit family here after my L1-B maxes out later this year
If you have family here, be careful of overcoming 214b (nonimmigrant intent). I think you’ll be fine, but don’t assume this is straightforward.
