Indian. My L1 got rejected. Worked 3.5 years for ms. The lady before me who got visa is a nun who will earn 0$ in US. I have been working in software field, got a cs degree, was going to earn and pay taxes, not from consultancy firm, in Microsoft solving technical things. The VO decided in 2 minutes about my life's fate. I mean all my knowledge, hard work, degree , interviews , planning the relocation , visa hassle and she decided to reject me. This is not fair when I hear they have been giving visas to consultancy people for years. Okay I am drunk and rant over.
Not fair? Entitled much?
Very sorry to hear about it. I know the amount of effort involved in finding a job and doing international transfer. Was there anything in your background check that might have raised a flag? Any trivial arrests or court cases?
How many degrees and from where? We have people here who have three degrees, at least one of them from US elite schools after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and back breaking hard work, we still fear for our visa status because folks with one degree from India are mass sent here. This is when I have already spent 4 years here and have a family here making any going back transition much much harder. Sorry about how it turned out for you, but for this limited visa pool there are folks here who have put in much more than you have, and it is all still lottery and renewal every three years and every renewal there is a solid chance for it to get rejected.
It’s random dude. Get over and apply again!
I hope one day people from US line up for Indian visas
Lol
See that's the problem. You are assuming that all consultants are fake or somehow less hardworking or talented than you. Most of them maybe fake yes, but not all. Secondly like others mentioned there are way more people who worked much harder and invested more time and effort to go to us and then got sent back. Anyway don't worry too much, you can try again. And usa is not the end of the world. If Microsoft is not flexible enough to apply again or allow you to work at their Indian location, just switch jobs. You have the talent to do so. Good luck
What if you replaced a US born person for the job, where do they goto complain? The nun?
Was it an L1A or L1B?
Did they give you any reason? Maybe you can reapply in couple months?
I can. But months of time waste.
