Are all fb interview questions from lc?
Do you really think a Corp that large wouldn't know which ones are on lc and continue refreshing their pool of questions? Sure some x% percent will always be on there but come on. The onsite interviewer has done it before. It's clear as day if you really know the solution or if you're just spitting out lc solution #1. If it was that easy you wouldn't see the multiple rage posts every time hiring kicks into full gear. "bbbut I answered 5/6 correct!!!". 🤷♂️. The more you think of these as leetcode trivia interviews the less likely you'll be showing any problem solving ability. Which is worse then getting the question wrong.
But you are expected to crank out an optimized clean solution. Not sure if that's gonna happen without seeing a similar question before.
Trust me. It'll happen because we're trained to lead you to it and observe your thoughts. The point of it all isn't that you must memorize every lc question. The point is even when you meet one you haven't seen before you can work yourself towards it by applying patterns youve seen before. You don't need to have seen every tree question in order to know when to use a dfs vs bfs. It's a puzzle try to use the pieces you've learned and tricks instead of trying to give the most optimal answer asap.
Fb cares more about the systems design aspect and cultural fit behavioral questions, whiteboard coding questions are kept pretty straightforward there to make sure candidates can avoid bugs and think through edge cases

Do you interview for fun?
Not really. But questions are not too complicated either.
