Got an offer for staff role @linkedin

Base 210k
Bonus 15%
RSU 650k
Sign on 80k

YOE 11

This is after negotiating. I already accepted the offer but have google/Uber/Fb on-site lined up.

Work at Linkedin is not very interesting (at least what I feel from career growth perspective )

Would Google/Uber/FB match or beat numbers?

Got same TC for FB E5.

LI is a lot more chill in terms of wlb, but they stink at annual refreshers.

FB is far superior in terms of annual refresher, but they don’t mess around in terms of wlb.

    Pick your poison

What’s the annual refresher at FB? Also do you think it’s possible to get E6 at FB, given some yoe in leadership?

Can you give more details on annual refreshers? How badly does it stink?
I accepted offer from LI but no one gave me clear answer about refreshers

E5 annual refresher is 120k for meets all. E6 is 200k. If you get better performance reviews, you get a multiplier on this base refresher amount

LI takes a current equity comp into account when deciding refresher (Amazon does this as well, iirc). So if the stock has appreciated, you get no refresher.

Combine that with the fact that promo process doesn’t give much weight to perf ratings, you end up with an environment that doesn’t incentivize excellence in day-to-day work.

If you can handle it, I’d recommend FB. I’ve heard E6 is extremely difficult to get, especially as external candidate, but doesn’t hurt to ask.

For E5, FB will beat this in the Bay Area on RSU, base will cap around $200k for E5. FB offers the highest refreshers.

If you get e6, FB will smash this offer. I think e6 is equivalent staff in other companies.

Are refreshers at FB based off of base ? Or some fixed number? Also would you know how is the interview different for E6?

Refreshers are based on level. E5 refreshers are $120k, e6 is $200k for average performer.

E6 loop is set up separately. You need to make it clear beforehand with recruiter. E6 with 11 YOE is borderline but doable if you ace the interview.

I have seen L5 offers from G matching this but definitely high end of L5. How did you negotiate bonus? Staff at LI is 15%

Pretty good offer, but why did you accept it before finishing the process everywhere?

Team at LinkedIn had an offer deadline as there were 2 other candidates who were waiting to hear the decision (that’s what recruiter told me) and I am not much confident on my coding given FB/G would focus heavily on it

Lol..that's bullshit. LinkedIn does generic hiring not team specific. Recruiter gave me same warning when I got offer but later took it back when I was unhappy with offer and told them I have competing offers. Call their bluff on their face and they will come running after you.

Well done! That's a great looking offer. What's the equity vesting period? 3 years? Does LinkedIn offer quarterly or biannual vests or just annual vests?

I'm dealing with the same companies, I don't expect G to match this number for L5, if they come close I would just go with them.
