Linkedin senior SE vs SE
Hi I currently have 2.5+ yoe in the bay Currently have a Linkedin phone screen scheduled for senior SE role. If I pass phone screen, can I ask my recruiter to change my interviews to a SE role rather than senior SE since that would that put expectations low on design round I just want to increase my chances Any suggestions/comments would be of great help

I was interviewed for senior SWE. Got moved with SWE. Like oohay said. Automatically happened.

Don't worry. They do that all the time but believe me it would be hard for you to get Sr swe with just 2.5yoe. They will eventually move you to swe role.

LinkedIn senior is like T4 in google via levels.fyi
Chances are that you would be put in SE finally anyway π... but you donβt have to initiate, internally this analysis happens for all, if you are good just not good enough you will be asked to join as SWE
