I meet all requirements for the general Data Scientist requisition. Would it speed up the process if I get somebody to refer me? Also what’s the usual timeline from application to offer? Thanks!

What do they look for in a DS? I am a DS, I have worked in SQL, R, and python. I have gathered business requirements, cleaned up data, derived insights, built ML models, and communicated the results - something I detailed during the initial conversation. But they rejected me after the first round itself. Any idea what could have gone wrong?
Skill set sounds fine. If this was a phone screen perhaps you didn’t do as well on the product or case questions that you were asked?
