After all the press about Microsoft’s issues with female workforce, curious to hear if treatment is better at other tech companies? There’s extensive info unveiled on a wide range of concerns from sexual harassment to career progression, continued old boys club mentality and so on. I have to wonder if we’re really the pits or the grass is not greener elsewhere either. Asking for a friend... 😉
Grass is not green for most of the men either
Boys club exists everywhere
Its much much worse at other companies. MS is actually one of the best. Please leave and compare
Are you saying from personal experience? Have you left and came back?
Boys club everywhere . It sucks . Younger men or same age men get promoted for all the blabber and women just keep getting pushed around.
Are women being paid less, promoted less, valued less everywhere? You bet. All the time. Look at how the President treats women. He has endorsed groping a woman you are attracted to as a form of flirting. It's been worse in my experience the last few years because more misogynists think it's acceptable behavior. And when you ask them to stop you get the response "That's not what I meant by that. You're being too sensitive. You can't take a joke." This isn't a new problem. Oracle (unfair pay) Nike (harassment), Google (hiring as "consultants" those who sexually harassed and misused their power) and now Microsoft. It's everywhere.
Try uber. Heard they are wonderful
Thanks for the answers. Been in the industry for long, recently several years in MS so was curious if things got better elsewhere in the meantime. I guess not. Snark level increased though, so progress... :)
I think MS grass is greener than Apple
Grass is not greener elsewhere
