Should I interview? Have been at amazon for 1 month now. Tc progress 180 -> 270 -> ?
Keep in mind policies around leaving so soon and having to payback signing / relo perhaps. Also depending on how long you've been at past companies it might look a bit negative... If you have longer tenture (2 years-ish) at a few places I wouldn't worry about that last statement so much.
Yes, he will have to give back sign in but so what? Resume is simple to solve: simply don't put Amazon in it
afaik Amazon's sign-in is prorated (it was so in my offer atleast). You can leave anytime and there is nothing to return. I don't assume OP got relo since he/she moved from Microsoft.
what is the tc for a MSFT equivalent job?
Depends what lv they are gonna slot me. I would imagine they need to give me either absolute max for one level higher or high end offer for two levels up to match my current comp. i left as 62.
oh msft -> amzn -> msft. That would be tough to get another significant jump, because they know what your tc was 2 months ago. Two level jump, but why not try and see what happens?
Newbie here - what does "tc" mean?
Does that include unlimited free bananas?
Dont leave after just one month. Ill stay at least a year and get a taste of amazon culture, so u can appreciate ur life after u leave
🤣
I believe there are always advocates who would give negative feedback about amazon at every corner. Many stories from friends to understand the culture. You should just move out now. Easy to wash it out from resume as well, as it's small duration. You don't have to taste it to know it in this case.
If he is getting bump of 90k(180 -> 270) after a month, good for him. I'd move.
Wow so many people votes to boomerang back after one month. Is this all voting from microsofties?
Interview and if you get offered more take it
I voted for yes bc it is never too late to actually thinking about leaving so early WHEN u get an offer!
Never too early to leave Amazon.
Like this attitude:-)
