Moving to Amazon on receipt
Is it safe to move to Amazon as a SDE1 on receipt ? Especially with all the talk about speciality occupation and since sde1 is equivalent to new grad position it might not constitute for speciality occupation and end up with a rfe ?

No, please don’t-it’s not worth the risk. I have been waiting for my RFE to clear for 1.5 months now with a fear everyday that if it’s rejected I will have to leave US.
What's this rfe about? Does your education not match the position?
I don’t know the exact official reason but attorneys has even submitted details why the job is speciality, hows my engineering degree relevant etc etc. To answer tour question yes I did mechanical engineering and it’s a tech role. So doesn’t match exactly

But why ? I have been in CS throughout since bachelor, which makes me think it won’t cause problem
For my current employer I was the one who wrote details of my job description in the h1 application, so I didn’t get rfe . I think template applications are the problem
Point is not if ull get RFE or not but do u want to take a risk. As everyone z saying it’s not worth a risk since company can wait for you and 2-3 months won’t make a dent
