Everyone these days keep talking about moving to Canada. Salaries are a bit less but no visa problems. Is anyone really moving to Canada leaving their H1B life and approved i140?
If you have approved I140, I think you can keep your priority date even if you abandon your green card application. If you want to move back to the US in the future, you'll pick up your old priority date and jump the queue.
What if you change jobs in between? This isn’t a bad deal to try something out in Canada after PR and if nothing works out, come back to US and retain your Priority Date
True. The only downside is the pay Canada is lower and tax is higher thanks to their universal free health care. So make sure you visit doctor very often in Canada to take full advantage of the tax you pay.
Chill out, people are just talking, nobody's really moving to (1/3) pay in Canada. Might as well move to (1/4) pay in India.
People hate capitalism but like money won’t move to Canada live in socialism and make 40% hmmmm
Capitalism is great for career and for the rich. It’s horrible for poor and struggling families. Pick your poison.
Agrew. If you are poor or homeless or don't have a good job, socialism is your haven. If you are rich or have a good career and willing to work hard to be the best of the best, capitalsim will reward you lots of money.
I doubt it. A few stories are enough for the media to resort to gross generalizations. Do what works for you, not what others are doing. If you’re seriously considering moving talk to someone who has already moved there.
