I'm interviewed for validation position at NV and seems like they will go ahead. What comp should I expect. Bay area. 9 yr exp. What component is negotiable usually. Thanks in advance.
Oh. Wasn't aware of bonuses.
Agreed to the above post - get a high initial offer; itβll set you up well for the future. Sign on bonus is negotiable, of course. Which group is this with?

@beta - arenβt you the dude who was asking about director comp at FB? What happened to that?
Yeah was asking for a friend who didn't get the job
Oh ok. Any idea on what the FB comp is at Director level though?
Expect IC4.
What does the base range look like for ic4 150-170 base?I was guessing it would be ic5.
Yes, base salary should fall in this range. IC5 is a long shot. While # of years is not the only factor, it typically starts at ~12 yrs of exp.
Yeah ic5 would be difficult unless you are at the same level at AMD. I would say a base of 170 is doable, push on rsu though as well as sign on
IC4 starting at 170 is certainly possible.
Have seen couple of Ic4 at $155k. But yeah, op can shoot for $170k
Ugh, wish I had blind when I was an IC4 ;)
Op, did you get the offer ? How close are they to the estinates posted here
170k 60k worth stocks 35 sign on. Any wiggle room?
May be a bit on rsu
Yeap rsu for sure assuming it is ic4

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
Get whatever you can before you join. You don't get much after. They don't have bonus. Annual refreshers are a pittance.
