Screw it, I am not going to pay for 15 different streaming services. Torrents ftw.

You gotta give credit to where it's due!

After 10 years of paying for entertainment I'm pretty much going back to torrenting

Stock market says "meh"

I interviewed with Disney in 2012 when they originally tried this. That plan crashed and burned. And in their failure Netflix came to save them Now they think they can do what they couldn't before. Expect another failure. Disney cannot compete with a tech powerhouse like Netflix.

Congratulations to the entertainment industry on reinventing debundled cable channels.

Renting from Redbox + copying FTW

A standalone ESPN streaming service help accelerate cord cutting, which in turn helps Netflix. If Hulu, the service that started a decade ago backed by 4 major content providers couldn't touch NFLX, why do you think DIS alone will?

The bigger story is implications for the Tv industry as a whole. Take sports away and the ecosystem as its known crashes and burns.

Yet another subscription to manage. So they bought BAMtech for sports? Isn't there a declining viewership business amongst millennials? What demographics are they looking to shift over? Parents who are mostly streaming it for kids? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
