Next step for L7 SDM

I was a lateral hire to an L7 SDM role - 2 years in now. L8 seems really far at this point, atleast in this group - too many tenured Amazonians waiting it out with their tribal knowledge. What can be a good next step ? I think ive maximixed my learnings in this group (core retail infra) 1. Rest and vest and collect the high TC 2. Get competing TC at a higher level at a non-FAANG (Director or VP level ?) 3. Move to another Amazon or AWS team and restart the quest for L8 4. Try another FAANG - chances are I wont get a good TC match YoE: 12 TC: 450 target TC at hire ( 780 would be realized TC for years 3 and 4) Location: NYC 🤷🏻‍♂️
