It's a product that is going to fair miserably. Not sure which greatly exceeding product manager had this dumbass idea in the first place. https://www.theverge.com/2019/1/17/18186990/facebook-portal-amazon-reviews-fake-employee-5-star-astroturfing
It's not the best, but it is just 3 reviews out of the 100 5x star reviews. I'm sure there are hundreds more reviews. It's not the cleanest/best practice, but I could post an i7 review without my company being called immoral.
This is how amazon drives their amazon products. Not sure why this is any different!
It's also their marketplace platform
A lot of employees tested it and liked it; employees that didn't work on it or work in sales. Also, it's three reviews. What a stupid article.
You guys need to time your launch well. As a product I think this is cool!
Making a mountain out of a molehill. 3 reviews. BFD.
I can say with 100% certainty having been in many meetings that most Amazonians laugh at how bad the portal is and further how poorly it’s selling. Essentially what I’m saying is Facebook went from having a bad year in the press to manifesting the shitty press in to an actual product...if you’ll call it that
@depdmm have you tried the portal? It's not a great product but works pretty great for video calls and it comes with Alexa so it can pretty much do anything an Amazon smart speaker does. 3 reviews, the article is stupid and frankly speaks volumes about the research that this publication puts in.
I think it’s a good product made by a wrong company
