I have 3 years of experience, 1.5 at small company, 1.5 at MSFT (level 60) (+ 1 year in internship/co-op, if it makes any difference). What level should I expect to get interviewed for IC2 or IC3? Should I expect any System design questions? Current TC 130k (for city in NC)
I think 3-5 FT years would be IC3 but it would still depend on how you perform on your interview. And yes, you should expect a system design.
Thank you.
Found out it has to > 4 years to be IC3.
I didn't make my OCI interview, but there was some system design, a lot of behavioral, and a couple of leetcode questions. Good luck! (15-20% system. 50% LC/tech, 30% behavioral)
Thank you.
Any suggestions on how to prepare for behavioral? Do they rely on leadership principles like amazon?
@O(logN) i was asked tell me about your unsuccessful project.
Thank you.
Youtube has a lot of System design videos, make sure you watch some
Thank you. I am watching Harvard's web development series which includes basics of web, database and scalability. I need those too.
Because you have 3 yoe, i dont think they ask you a hard system design. You need to focus on coding. Good lucks
Wow, i think you will be fine in onsite. Be relax and be yourself. Just think interviewer like your peer so you will feel comfortable when describing your projects
