I have offers from both. The TC is same. I am skeptical choosing the best one. Oath owned by verizon seems to be more stable. Roku on the other hand is growing. Any tips guy?
I would not use the words stable and Oath in the same sentence. Roku probably had risks, but Oath, IMO is way more risky. It's a declining business and the parent is just looking to consolidate audiences and squeeze profits. You will because perennially at a risk of getting laid off.
Heard great things about roku from people that have left there and joined Facebook. Also not that past stock reflects future but great stock growth over last year.
Oath has taken an oath to not be stable - it’s unstable and everyone there knows that
Tc? Yoe? Position?
Not a good moment to join Oath unless the job is for yahoo finance
How about Yahoo mail or sports?
Mail team has been under several reorgs, although is probably on the safe band. Yahoo Sports is good for now. Rule of thumb. Yahoo products (finance, sports etc), good. AOL products (TechCrunch, Engadget, Huffpost, AOL.com etc), bad
Roku. I have see a lot of people interviewing from Oath at Roku
Roku. The only problem with roku is location. Other than that, it’s pretty good.
Location as in?
What’s wrong with it?
FYI: Roku has leased a huge space besides san jose downtown at coleman ave.
I say Roku, culture is pretty solid there as opposed to a VZW portfolio company where I wouldn't be so sure
