What position is this?
Very low if you are a full time software engineer. Low if you are a contractor. Adequate if you are in finance, marketing or HR. Very low if you are in strategy (eg MBA grad). Very good if you are an admin. Excellent if you are a receptionist or janitor.
Chicago, is it pretty expensive to live there? Seems extremely low if it’s a SWE position.
These are the kind of offers “Big 4”s doling out? Looks very low. Even startups pay more
This is pretty low in CHI, get another offer. As new grad you should look at 100k base as a decent pay

I know... That's just a baseline to give him a sense of the good pay level at CHI. with 8 YOE it varies a lot based on exp

Well if it is non ENG then this should be a ok pay. I know people make 100k base as senior analyst
