I'm negotiating an offer from Splunk. I have an offer from Amazon. Can they ask me to send them Amazon offer? I don't want to send it. If they ask, what should I say that doesn't turn them off and still help with negotiating. I haven't done this a lot in the past. Please help out.
They're asking for privileged/unethical information. I'd ask them to agree to pay a high premium on top of matching comp if they insist on it, and see what they say. Most likely, I would never share the offer letter at all though.
Don't share the letter. Recruiters can't ask for it legally and ethically.
Doesn’t splunk standardly pay more than amazon anyway?

No usually Amazon offer is good but if you quote 30-40k more to get better offer they can ask for evidence or reject you

They won’t ask. If they do tell them you can’t disclose documents since you’re under NDA. I’ve done it many times in the past and if you don’t BS too much on your TC’s they simply believe you and don’t bother asking. A recruiter is just like a messenger... HR will approve or not that’s their job.
