I bought some items online at Zara totalling $200, The size did not fit so I called in to return. Unfortunately I was late by 2 days from their 30day Returns policy, so I just requested and was willing to take a store credit/gift card. But they just refused, tried talking to supervisor but no help. I even tried returning in store without a receipt but they did not accept. I am really pissed off. The garments don’t fit me and are useless. Its not only about the money but I feel its the worst customer service. Anything I can do here ?
Keep complaining to their customer service people. Eventually they give me. Source: I worked in retail for a long time before tech.
I tried 3 times and even talked to supervisor
Try a different Zara store. I’m surprised to hear. Where is this? Valley fair?
They said its the policy, I don’t blame the staff. Yes its Valley Fair
You’re late and you don’t have a receipt, and you expect them to take your shit back. Seriously?
Surprised no one has commented on the fact that adults shop at Zara lol
I am in my late 20s and their collection is ok, honestly shopped first time, never going back
First of all it's your fault, don't be mad at them that you waited over 30 days to see that it doesn't fit. That said many credit cards offer return protection to let you return things up to 90 or 120 days, see what card you used and if they offer it.
Yup, if you have a decent credit card this is the way to go.
What were you doing for 30days? Did you reduce the size in that period?
Some credit cards offer extended returns.
Also.... fast fashion stores rely on fast inventory turns... that is what drives their success. Did you not read their policy and still want an exception? I don’t shop at Zara however I’d have to believe they would have honored their clearly stated return policy if the sequence of events were as described so... I’m a little confused. You chose to shop at a store who built their success on getting rid of inventory as soon as possible with a displayed return policy and are complaining that they are not willing to take a loss on your returns that fall outside of their policy? Considering the timing it is highly likely that this product is discounted for post Christmas sell through and you are wanting a full priced store credit? Nah.
Thanks for the trolls I mostly shop at Nordstrom and have enjoyed hassle free returns over last so many years. I agree its my bad not being careful about the 30d policy, just wanted to see if anyone has creative idea to help. Also I have seen policies and I have seen companies make exceptions, most companies do store credits even outside the return window
Isn't this one of the reasons nordstrom is doing shitty business, seems like OP feel entitled to something. I have returned stuff also, always within a week, dont see why 30 days are needed to see something is too big
Nordstrom’s is a whole different story, as everyone knows they accept anything, anytime. Go to Nordstrom’s Rack and it’s not the same. Every store has their return policy and many won’t accept items after the policy ends.
