Any thoughts on dress code for tech position interview for women?? The interview is on East coast and for giant financial company. I'm confused between business formal and business casual. Any help is much appreciated
Should be covered in your interview prep mail. If you don’t have one yet ask the recruiter. I once had a male candidate come for interview with one side of his pants tucked all the way to his knees. As tech interviewers we are trained to evaluate merely on their competency and this fella got hired too :)
I prepped people for IB interviews - you can never go wrong with a black dress and heels. Take a blazer with you just in case
I really wouldn't recommend a woman wear a dress to an interview for a tech role. Unless you really love wearing dresses. It's hard enough trying to get your, inevitably mostly male, interview panel to stop concentrating on your female-ness without wearing a dress. (I think it's bullshit, but it is unfortunately the way it is)
Financial firms are quite formal imho.
Ew. West coast best coast.
Tank tops
Bikini
🖕
Gud try
East Coast financial company? Top hat and a monocle
Formal dress or blouse+pants, with a blazer
Just ask the recruiter
This. They know the culture and want you to succeed.
