Had my onsite with Facebook last week, as the last step in the process. The recruiter got back to me and said they will give me an answer in December because the panel is now out for Thanksgiving. I’m trying not to read too much into it, but it feels like I’m halfway to being rejected. I dunnow, what do you think?
Was it for Data Science or SDE?
Neither. Mine was marketing

How was your interview? Can you share your experience? I have my interview coming up
Honestly? No clue if I knocked it out of the park or flopped. It was good, but I worry I got nervous and rambled a bit. One hour presentation followed by three 1:1s and a lunch with a 4th ux’er. Not a lot of difficult questions I would say, I actually enjoyed the conversations.
Go relax and do something to take it off your mind. It's out of your hands now either way.
Took me 2.5 weeks from onsite, if it was a no you would know. People are going to be out of the office this time of year
Usually takes 1-2 weeks.
I had an onsite a month ago and never heard back lmao.
😂
Wut how? At Fb? Did you reach out to your friendly recruiter?
I just started with FB, and this is pretty true. Even all the join dates have been moved around for the holiday. Also recognize the offer comes from a bunch if small orgs within the company not the hiring manager, so though there may be an offer coming it needs to be formulated and approved by multiple teams.
What levels are you interviewing for? I recently went through the on-site and there was no presentation....
Not an engineer, working in Product. Prez during onsite is pretty standard for design/ux
Ohhh. Got it. I thought design/ux is in Product Design team. I went through PM on-site and there was no presentation.
Im sailing the same boat. Any Facebookers around please comment how long do they normally take to come back?
It's totally up to your recruiter and interviewers, but usually before 2 weeks.
