My wife and I are looking to relocate to Houston at the beginning of next year. I currently work as a BA Consultant for United Healthcare. I'm looking to stick with the BA realm if I can find a senior role or venture back to the integration side. Any recommendations for companies hiring that should be aware of?
Why Houston? Mostly oil and gas there.
My wife found a great opportunity in the medical field that would be crazy to turn down.

Thanks, I'll look into it
If you like the food scene, there’s some really exciting things happening in Houston. Go get some VietCajun!
The wife and I are definitely foodies. We visited the breakfast Klub while we were in Houston, some of the best breakfast I've had!
Uipath - they are starting to grow their Houston office so that it will be second biggest US office, after NYC
Thanks, I will check them out!
Alight solutions is a ben admin firm with offices in the woodlands. They focus on midsize/fortune 500 companies. I had a good experience but it is very dependent on your manager/business unit. Aetna has a small office near IAH but I work remote...depending on your role/experience you may be able to negotiate the same!
Houston sucks overall. Republicans, cars and congestion. Get to SF or Seattle I’d you’re truly interested in pursuing tech careers.
I lived there for a year and it really does suck unless you're into fishing, rodeos, and fried everything.
Thanks for the input. The wife and I visited this past weekend, more the outskirts such as Woodlands, TX. We thought it was nice there. We're relocating because my wife had an opportunity she can't pass up in the medical field. The pay is worth the move.
