That already tells me Oracle is highly political when only referrals from high ranking employees are taken seriously lol.

Hehe. Not sure how you reached that conclusion - but whatever works for you. People often advertise on LinkedIn so it might be worth your time to discuss projects that the person advertising is championing. You still have to clear interviews anyway
