Got a verbal offer from Oracle 10 days ago. They gave details on TC. Sent benefits info etc. Have not yet gotten a formal offer letter however. I’ve heard the process there is pretty slow but is this amount of time normal?
Can take up to a month between verbal and offer letter with Oracle.
Is Oracle sponsoring H1B Visa?
Yes, took them 3 weeks for me
Awesome, thanks all! I’ll assume about a month. That’s kind of sad.
Assume a couple of months
Ha! I’ll have other offers after a couple months. Oh well.
What's the offer?
I’m in a similar boat with another company. Have gotten verbal offer and ‘necessary approvals’ but no offer letter. Can someone who has been a hiring manager/recruiter throw some light on why companies take so much time? What is the company strategy here?
The record I believe is 6 months
Try 1.5 years... As the manager it is so frustrating cause no matter what you do you have no control.
2 month
Don’t quit your current job until you have it. Even if it’s verbal, it’s not confirmed until you have the letter.
Exactly. They called me last week and asked if I might consider resigning my current gig soon so that once the offer came through I could start immediately. I was like, yeah, I wish, but let’s formalize this before I go for it.
Wow. This is crazy
Lately, you won't get an offer letter until you verbally accept.
