I am in a ride right now and I couldn't be more annoyed by your ignorance. It's a 40 minutes ride and I have to keep listening to you providing tech support to your family in a foreign language. This happens very often. You need to stop doing this or order an uberx. (I bet the driver would be annoyed even in that case). Edit: A lot of people calling me racist, entitled while I am just asking them to be considerate of fellow riders when on a POOL ride. If you understood how I felt, I have made my point and hopefully you won't keep doing this.
Ear plugs
I am an Indian and I take shuttle everyday . I really hate hate when someone’s being ignorant of causing inconvenience to people around them. Sometimes co-passengers keep on talking loudly about how they baked cake/ cleaning dishes / match etc...It happens when we share services with others . BUT none of them are Indians though 🤔, which contradicts to your feelings ( not observations ) I agree that everyone should be considerate to fellow passengers but blaming nationally is like being a TRUMP!!
Well written! OP - next time you meet an Indian in your Uber pool, ask them if they have written this reply. And if they have, start taking lessons in how to convey your message without being an ass. On a tangential note, I hate it too when people talk loud in shuttles, but I don't hate a nationality for that. Good luck.
I personally hate it more when ladies (unfortunately they are always Indian) talk on their phones forever in the office bathroom. I just want to shit in peace. Also my shit is swirling in the air and into their mouths. It's just so disgusting. I love Indian people, all people, I just wish they understood that it's not cool to use the bathroom as a conference room. As far as uber pool goes, idgaf. Get an uberx if you want privacy, you know?
Its not about privacy obviously.
If you want to have control over the environment, it's all about privacy. You're effectively riding a small bus when you cheap out and get the pool.
Not sure what the foreign language has to do with anything. Would you feel less annoyed if it was English? There is no rule about passengers in Uber pools talking on the phone. While I agree it can be annoying, if you can’t share a space with people who may not share your etiquette norms, maybe you need to take an UberX. Life is loud brah.
It's about us being considerate of fellow riders. If I wanted to listen heavy metal and played it during a ride, would you just consider thats your fault for not taking uberX?
Maybe there's your answer OP. Next time you see someone talking on phone in your Uberpool, play heavy metal on your phone... Dam son, you want borgeois benefits on peasant transportation, don't you?
Op are you Indian?
What does this have to do with Indians? I’ve shared pool with many Indians and other people in general and never had one talk on the phone. I’ve had more drivers talk on the phone than other passengers. I think your problem is a 40 minute uber pool? if you’re trying to save money, find a different method of transportation like rent a car or something.
How about just requesting them to keep it down a bit with a smile? Than just ranting it out on an anonymous portal and highlighting the race.
Yes whats the problem in doing that?
Awwwwwwwwwww. Life is sooo hard on you. I'll pray you recover soon and get back your entitlements.
I understand there are bigger problems in life. I posted this, so that people who see this would at least know they are being rude.
Passive aggressive much? Why not tell them directly and in a considerate tone if it bothers you so much? And if you don’t have the guts to do that, maybe try doing the things you want to do in the pool, the things you are not doing because you think you are being considerate like playing heavy metal music. And if you don’t have the balls to do that either, stop complaining and keep suffering.
That’s why I prefer to use UberX over UberPool. But unfortunately, in 30% of cases I got Indian driver who unstoppably talking on the phone with relatives. Only once happened with non Indian driver, but that guy was from Pakistan. I think it is not about nationality, but more because they think other people do not understand what they are talking about.
Bosadike, time difference tera baap dekhege ?
Dude, relax. Maybe that’s the time they get to talk to their folks. As long as their keeping their volumes low, why do you care?
Dude, that's not their personal time. Also, you don't catch up with your family for 30 mins straight with 3 other people sitting right besides you.
Hahah why don’t YOU get an uberx if silence is that important to you. They aren’t violating any rules or laws. Who made you Uber pool police?
