Hello, Was hoping someone could give me some insight into the prep for an L6 SDE interview. I understand I should focus on leadership principles and system design in addition to coding. Any advice on missteps one shouldn't be making when it comes to the former? For the coding part, are the questions leetcode medium to hard as well? Or would practicing CtCi be adequate? Thanks!
As l6 sde you are epected to do well in all rounds. For system design if you did not hit out of park they will tag you as l5. Bevready with good examples of past work as well as overall maturity in approaching problems.
You’ll get a lot of behavioral questions — leadership principles, mostly. Tell me about a time you had to “disagree and commit”, things like that. (For that one, try not to end it with “they should have listened to me”)
Thanks!
Do well in LP Do well in System Design Do well in Coding Is that what you want to hear?
Don’t. It’s Amazon.
Also be prepared to hear things like, “our bar is high, we will hire you as SDE-2”
If you have to ask for advice, you ain't L6 SDE.
If It comes to insightful comments, you’re not even L3.
Seriously stop being so condescending. If you have nothing useful to add, don’t say anything
