8 YOE TC 175k Iโve worked Amazon for 4yrs as L5 PM. I worked in Construction prior at a nuclear facility for 4 yrs (thermal engineer). I want to stay in tech (FANG ideally) but want to become a Technical Program Manager for various reasons (pay, nature of work, etc). I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, have worked with SDEs, DEs, and ML scientists for over 2 years, know SQL, and am working knowledge of Oracle, AWS, Dryad, Redshift, etc (but dont ask me to code lol) what sector should I look to thats most promising for a shift and long term prospects? Advertising? Cloud? Big Data? other? What do I need to do to make the jump in role? learn how to code? work closer to the tech? just interview well and land in a TPM role? Im super interested in being a good TPM, and would like honest feedback from engineers on what theyd like to see in a decent TPM. i know Amazon TPMs are a bit less technical than Google/facebook etc... Thanks!!
I joined when stocks were much lower
OP, we'll tell you, but first spill the beans on how to apply factorial on ๐ฉ

Your total comp as a L5 PM is 175? I just joined amazon for same position but I only got 130. How much is your base? Is it bc stocks were super low when you joined or I just got low balled?
