I am horribly burned out and don’t feel any passion for work. I want to take a couple months off on FMLA and have regular sessions with a psychiatrist/psychologist so that I am better equipped to deal with the demands of a tech job in the future. Looking for a good psychiatrist in Bay Area who will be available for immediate appointments. The one to which my PCP referred me is booked till end of October and I am looking for something more immediate. Thanks in advance.
Beer, bacon, boobs, bong, breitbart.... problem fixed!
Good psychiatrists almost always have a 1-2+ month wait. If you need something simple such as refills of non abusable drugs, or just to start on antidepressants, your primary care GP or Doctor on Demand could help.
What happened?
Updated description. Just feeling a complete lack of motivation at work and concerned that this might balloon into a bigger problem through the course of my career if I don’t deal with it right away.
Go to your GP and ask for bupropion. Take a vacation, somewhere fun.
Get a new job that's less stressful and allows you more time to focus on personal life and personal growth. Eat healthily and exercise. Invest more time in friendships and social activities. If you want more/new friends, become interested in others. There, I just saved you a bunch of time and money. Pharma won't fix you. It'll just make you another chemically dependent profit center. EDIT: fixed typos
if OP had cancer, would you write the same reply? stop spreading your utter ignorance about mental health.
My goal is to have regular sessions with a psychiatrist/psychologist and come up with a list of action items that I can follow whenever I feel my confidence sinking. Of course, I could experiment and do this myself but I would like to take the guidance of an expert.
