I know my direct manager will not be there. There's a pretty good chance the next 2 levels of management may not be there either (but their calendar so far shows them being there). These are the 3 layers of management that's in my building. Then the level up is someone in a building that takes a drive to get to and pretty impossible for me to just drop in on and get time. I'm thinking I should email hr in this case? (The closest HR is also in the other building) so it'll be interesting how they handle this. (Edit: I see my HR rep is also out on 1.2.19) Also I fully expect/hope to be walked out the same day as I'm going to a direct competitor. But if no one is in my building, it'll be interesting to see what happens. (Stay right where you are! Don't touch your laptop!) π
If management is not around, do a little victory dance and leave the notice on hrweb and get the hell outta there
tell ceo
This may really be an option if the person at the other building is also out, as he/she reports to the CEO
How many employees in your company?
It's a very large company
This is my strategy.. Company has one month notice policy.. Leaving on extremely bad terms since whole management team is rotten.. Report to director.. His boss is cfo.. And then ceo.. If I give notice on 1st decemeber.. No one will be there on 31st to walk me out :D best thing ever..
Iβd wait til someone is there or give it earlier in Dec. if you are trying to get to the next job quickly or wait until new year due to bonuses or other, then send and email to your manager, their manager and the HR rep.Someone will come find you if they are walking you out.
