When I had $1M I was sure I would retire at $2M. When I had $2M I was pretty sure I would retire at $3M. When I had $3M I was more or less sure I would retire at $5M. Now I don’t even pretend anymore. Accumulation is the goal, there is no end. There is a hole in my soul that no amount of money can fill. I don’t think it was always there. Get out while you still can my young friends, or else come and join this race with me.
This is the worst covered humblebrag I've ever seen.
I don't think this is a humblebrag. Take the helpful advice or GTFO.
My net wealth is about 3M now but feeling so poor to raise a twins.
TC...or...
Retiring is overrated anyway. Half the people on Blind would be bored out of their minds in 3 months if they retired before age 40.
And the other half would be literally be having the time of their lives ;)
Correct but most of the fun is the accumulation and at 30m you can finally start to afford some fun as well.
The goal is to have money work for you, not the other way around. Don't tell me that net worth is not working for you.
You don’t need to retire, but now you have the optionality. You are now free from wage slavery, congrats!
Want to make more money for that ridiculous gap in your financial soul? Give me 1m of that and wait two years. I'll give you back 2m.
Not gonna lie, I would probably do the same thing in his position lol, just being facetious
No TC... 🧐
