Good politics, but this is going to be the equivalent of an uninvited Chile pepper in dinner of a WASP. The average voter won’t see a larger goal for every agency investigating a previous administration that further undermines our trust in the political system. This will feed into the narrative that Washington is a bunch of disconnected bozo’s that don’t care about the problems of the average hardworking American. This is also short sighted in that does Trump believe he will have power forever? He is inviting a precedent that will negatively impact him in 2 or 6 years. Government loves precedent, so as soon as the next political boomerang (within 6-10 years) puts democrats in the majority, all gains are wiped out.
