I am trying to close my house and my mortgage broker gave me 4.625% for 30 year fixed jumbo loan with 0 points. Have you found better rate recently? According to Zillow, there should be many lenders with 4.45%. Should I at least stop by Wells Fargo and BOA to check on their rate? If you got mortgage rate quote recently for 30 year fixed jumbo (in a month), can you share your rate? My credit score is above 800 and down payment is 30%. Thanks.
Depends where you're at. I'm near Seattle, mine was 3.75 last year with a standard 30 year and just under 10% down payment. I got pretty lucky though, the market around here is crazy.
i just got 4.375% on fixed 30 year from boa, but i opted for 10 arm at 4% similar situation, credit score 800+, 25% downapyment, loan amt $925K
Thanks. Did you get lower rate because of ARM option?
That's a crazy expensive loan rate for 10/1 arm last year. I got a 7/1 ARM 2.95% last year with almost the same situation
Wow interest rates have gone up a lot! Can’t wait for the tariffs to bring back the trade deficit in our favor.
Chase quoted me about 4.55 recently
Thanks.
I got 4.25% 30 year fixed with no closing costs just recently
Wow. Is it with ARM option? Can you tell me how recently? The rate was much lower until two months ago.
BOA also gave me 4.25 30 yr and 3.625 7/1 with 0.25 points
Thanks. These ARM thing is confusing. BOA gives an non ARM option as well?
Why would anyone fuck with an ARM in this fucked up world today? Glad I got my 30 yr fixed at 3.75 2 yrs ago.
Because you don't plan on staying at the property more than 7-10 years and can invest the extra savings into something else. It all depends on your time horizon.
Got a 30 yr fixed in SF at 3.875% from Citi. 2 months ago. Gotta find a bank that will give you preferred banking rates if you park retirement money with them.
I think I know what you mean but don’t have any reserve money.
Ahh yes. Well I did 20% down which allowed me to park more money. Worth shopping around and finding big bank lenders who can do creative jumbos.
I got mortgage rate of 4.625 2 months back with First Tech, 30% down pay
Thank you!
