Hi everyone, I know this on-site preparation question has been asked a lot of times here and I reviewed all of them. But I have some unanswered questions which I am adding below. Even my recruiter is not responding when I asked these questions. 1. I have my On-site from 10:30 to 4pm. How many rounds of interview will I have? 2. How many technical, behavioral and design rounds? 3. In design, do I need to just prepare for system design or OOD as well? 4. How long is the each round? 5. Also, I heard that I need to get 'Yes' from all of the interviewers at Apple. Even if one person says 'NO', it's a reject. Is this really true? I heard that onsite interviews at apple are very team specific. I am interviewing with Apple Maps team for a software engineer role. Location: Cupertino, CA. Any pointers/tips and of course answers to the above questions is appreciated :) Thanks in advance.
Map is a really big team. I interviewed with them in May, 3 code interview + 1 design + 1 lunch + 1 director. Each round is 45mins.
Probably will have to write some code and make your internal thoughts verbal.
This is the most helpful response I have ever got!
My book will be out next week
For the first question and fourth question, you seem to have a full day on-site which means 45 mins each round with a 1 hour lunch (which is technical too). Not sure if you would have 15 mins break or not. One of my interview had 3 15 mins break and the other didn’t have any.
Thanks for the info. How many 45 minutes rounds you had. It seems like I will have one extra 45 minutes round(if no breaks in between).
So I had 2 interviews back to back with 2 teams. I don’t exactly remember how many slots I had for the first one (the one that had breaks). But the second one was from 1030 to 4 and had 7 slots. One of them was 1 hour lunch with hiring manager and one was 30 min chat with a different peer manager and their director.
