Referral for SWE/FEE/APM New Grad (Msft, Squarespace, Fb)
Hey yall, looking to apply to the Rotational APM positions opening up and any New Grad SWE or Frontend engineer roles. Interviewing at f100s right now but looking for referrals at some brands I'm interested in : Some facts: - come from a nontarget, factory school in nyc. Networked and worked my way to any internship I've gotten. - 4 swe internships (f100s, big media, healthtech) - Leetcode mediums atm but progressing - started biz (non tech) @ 19, non trad student. Interested in: - APM program referral: Twitter, FB, Lyft, Linkedin, Oath - Squarespace - Kickstarter - SpaceX, Blue Origin - NYTimes - Facebook - Oscar Health - Wealthfront - MSFT Open to others as well - any help will be appreciated. NYC preferred No need for Uber as I've secured a referral and Amazon I've interviewed for an internship and dont feel a good match with. Believe I can be a strong match and if otherwise, would love to chat on how to better my chances! Appreciate it!
I will recommend you to makeup which position you're interested in. I am myself confused between SDE and PM track.
Great point. The thing is I'm aware of the difficulty to jump into APM (even the Rotational programs) as a new grad. Ideally I know I'd like to eventually pivot into ProdM as I feel a strong personality fit and believe I can do well there..so going at it early would be better imo. But I don't mind working as a dev for a few years cause I do enjoy programming and would do it out of passion and would be a more realistic approach. So top priority would be a PM track as a new grad if possible, otherwise I'm happy with eng roles until I make the pivot in the long term, hence why I have a large bucket of choices

Don't mind any harsh words lol, advice or connecting on LinkedIn for future references can be just as valuable. Not only looking for referrals but career outlook, which companies to avoid, and how to grow as well. Thanks for the suggestion, have been trying on Linkedin and will continue doing so!
