Rejected from SWE asked to move forward with TPM
Got rejected for an SWE role, feedback on everything was good but tech skills weren't up to par. They told me I was a good fit for a TPM role on another team and said they would move forward with that. I agreed to move forward to get an offer, but turns out they want me to go through an entire interview cycle including phone screen again. Are they just giving me the run around here? Will I get a low ball offer anyway? Has anyone seen this SWE-TPM before? 4 yoe 135k TC
Downgrading to PM? Don’t do it.
Where is it? Amazon's TPM is a pretty well respected position, but you gotta know what you're doing.
TPM at Amazon is not that bad if you know what you are doing. You can later switch to an SDM role.
