Rent a room LA Area
I am looking to rent a room and share a place with someone but no luck so far with craigslist, SpareRoom or roommates. Apparently people reach out and all have the same story - out of the city please send me the money and I will send you the keys. Scammers! Any recommendations on what is the best place to search and find something in Santa Monica or close by. Thx!
Better to look internal to your company bulletin boards

How long are you looking to rent, what's your budget? I have an extra room for rent on the westside.
Long term for a year at least. My budget is 600-700 pm. Please let me make what other details you need and I can DM you
600-700 in Santa Monica? Kinda low isn’t it? You can sometime contact people on AirBnB and ask them if you could rent long term for a reduced rate but you usually have to plan that out in advance.

Use Zillow. You can set filters for “rental” places and how big and the budget. Good luck. Any particular areas?
700 won’t get you a private room in Santa Monica.
Did you try looking at the Facebook groups like ‘LA room for rent’?
