Hi all, recently received offer from Roku. Roku doesn't have 401 matching and ESPP. just got base + equity. Base 140k +80k equity for over 4 years. Does Roku not have a yearly bonus concept? How is the refresher there? You have unlimited PTO. Does it work properly? In current company although has unlimited PTO, it is difficult to get. They didn't even offer joining bonus.

We don’t have yearly bonus. Signing bonus would be pretty hard to get. We do have refresher, I’m not sure how it calculated; it’s not that bad. Unlimited PTO is not difficult to get.
So for all software engineering roles there is no bonus ? And only base and RSU’s ... how about the management ladder , do managers and directors get bonuses ? And refreshers ?

“Unlimited” PTO is max 30 days if you can even get your manager to agree to that.
Are US holidays also part of unlimited PTO ? I got to know they don't have Christmas or black Friday public holidays
They don’t observe holidays. So to take a holiday off such as Christmas, it would be a PTO day.

Free snacks and lunch. No holidays because unlimited pto means just that. Nobody is in the office on holidays or before 9am.
