If given the opportunity, would you choose to work at Salesforce or LinkedIn? Provided comp is in the same ballpark for each option. I want to choose the company that has the best prestige and exit opportunities, respect for working there in the Bay area. They are both Project Manager roles or similar. I'm so excited to be leaving consulting.
Come work for us, it’s great.
Could you elaborate please? I’m not doubting you, but would appreciate details
I've been at LinkedIn. Good perks. Unlimited vacation days. 2 mandatory down weeks: Christmas and 4th of July weeks are shut down. No guaranteed annual stock refreshers though.
Can you just take 3 months of yolo vacation and still get paid
If your manager is okay with it, why not. I did take advantage of the policy but in more scattered way. I did also have weeks off.
LinkedIn. Great company 👍 Needless to say, food is awesome.
I heard that LinkedIn serves most delicious food in US tech companies. The other one is Dropbox.
Twitter uses the same company as LinkedIn so twitter food is equally good.
2 of the best companies in terms of wlb. Your hourly salary is also higher than Facebook :)
Def linkedin
Eh, we recently changed caterers. Food is ok now. I wouldn’t say mass produced food is ever amazing. Don’t just come here for the food or you’ll be disappointed. I WILL say though, the benefits are quite good. 401k match is the best I’ve ever seen, and we also have a perk where you get reimbursed for a number of things up to $2k per year. We also have a lot of mobility within the company, and are supportive of your “next play”. Though we don’t have annual stock refreshers (unless you get promoted), we do value good work, and bonuses are paid out accordingly. I’ve also seen annual raises for top performers (though no stock). Work life balance is pretty good. Most people don’t sign on after they leave, and can work a true 8-9 hour day.
You should clarify SF changed caterers not SV. SV food is 10/10
Imo the food in sf is better than it was before now.
How is this even a question
Thanks all, appreciate the tips! Looks like overwhelmingly LinkedIn.

LinkedIn for sure. MSFT rulez. I’d apply at both though, both are great companies. Congrats for leaving Accenture, a new life awaits you :)
