Visited the area for the first time. Impressions: - Not impressed with Seattle. Uglier than I thought. Very 90’s. Made me miss Manhattan. Can only see myslef living somewhere around the needle. I would pay to not live in Capitol Hill. There were a couple of nice blocks in Belltown. - Bellevue is bland, boring, and blah. RIP social life. - Redmond is very nice but tiny. The nature is beautiful. Questions: - Where are the fun areas? - Whats the dating scene like for a very dateable 30s white male open to interracial dating. Current TC 265 Future TC pending
You aren't living in Capitol Hill right now! Who are you paying for that? With FU money I guess you can afford that.
Do you live in Manhattan?
Same OP. Same.😪Seattle is dull and gloomy.
Yes. Seattle is ugly including the peeps
Advantages of Seattle, clean air, good food
Strong disagree on the food. Especially if you come from NYC or socal
Food in Seattle is a D- compared to Manhattan. Come on. Below average food scene for a major city, in general.
Yes, it’s a terrible area. You should stay in Manhattan.
it is 90s yes but Manhattan is more 1890’s
Don't know about Manhattan ...but Seattle sucks ...
I moved to Redmond.. used to live in Seattle downtown.. I moved because I like being closer to nature and go to Cap Hill on weekends for partying with friends.. I visit Manhattan once every year.. I love NY city for short visits but can never imagine living there ... To each their own I guess :-)
Once you find your niche in Manhattan, your life can be amazing and never dull. The city becomes the setting of that scene, that adventure, that kiss, that are so deeply a part of who you are that you can’t imagine your life without it.
Is there a connect shuttle from downtown Seattle to Microsoft and if yes, how long did the commute take?
Fremont, Ballard, West Seattle
Are these neighborhoods fun destinations or just nice residential areas?
Both, new condos and small bungalows within walking distance of cool bars. Note that Seattle has different vibe then NYC and may seem small in comparison.
