I am walking home and just saw one cyclist on Dexter Ave ride off the bike lane and ride on the car lane, then all other cyclists joined him. They felt proud and hugged the air with both arms while riding the bikes. All cars behind them were following and some honked at them, but so what? If you want real freedom, come to Seattle!
GTFO cyclists
Was there a car stopped in the bike lane like usual?
Feel like this is usually the case when I have to leave the bike lane on Dexter.
People love sitting in their metal boxes and complain about said traffic even though they're part of the problem.
Just ride the bus. 🚌
Cyclists in Seattle:. Share the road, asshole! Also cyclists in Seattle: run stop signs, ride on sidewalks, and break any other rules they come across.
But the consequences of breaking rules on a bike are far less severe than if you were in a car. So it's more acceptable to break them. Same with jaywalking vs running a red light in a car
So, no cycling because some break the rules? Those Seattle drivers, tho... highly skilled and aware at all times.
