Should I lie about my job status in an interview
I was terminated after IT found some xx films on my computer. Interviewing for a new job, should I tell them the truth or tell a lie that I'm still working for the old company?

Sent you a message. I guess many companies would give at least a warning for the xxx stuff. Few just donât give you a 2nd chance. People tend to hate something in themselves đ

Tell them it was xx not xxx. Tell them your freedom of self expression has been violated.

Call the HR people at your old company and ask what the policy is for what they tell employers about employment history including reason for leaving. I heard that at Microsoft, all HR can give is start date, end date, and whether or not the termination was voluntary or not. So if you were fired for something really bad, all they can say is âInvoluntary terminationâ with no reason given. So basically, donât lie that you were fired. But lie about the reason. Say that the work environment was hostile and you couldnât work well in that environment.
