Hi, I have decided to leave Microsoft but haven't had my reward discussion yet with my manager. As an annual bonus is also given, so that's the only reason I am asking this question. If I inform the manager, does she have rights to revert my awards?
Yes of course she does - I have seen this happen at other companies! Wait until you get the goods!!!
If the money is in your bank account, no she can’t revert that transaction. If it’s in your next pay cycle, just wait.
Technically it was usually locked by now, but they can always stab you in the back. And of course they would rather take your bonus and give it to those staying. I would wait until after 9/15 when the bonus is in the bank. Then walk.
No, your manager couldn't take it back even if she wanted to at this point. The policy is clear on this.
You should be good... It's all stone now. Still safe to resign once you know numbers tough then no more risk
I’m doing to same, not waiting until mid-Sept though, rolling out shortly. Note that if you are going to a competitor, they’ll walk you out on the spot, so make sure you have stuff submitted etc.
I am resigning soon. How will they pay the bonus if I leave?
The usual way, check or bank acct.
Don't leave before getting the money. Tell your new employer to wait or pay up a signing bonus for the same amount.
No
is that the answer to the question asked in title or description?
Bonus cant be changed anymore at this point
