A lot of people leave for the holidays, so it will be harder for companies to round up interviewers. This might materialize into having to reinterview because the manager wasnt available or getting an interview panel with engineers outside of the team. Should I wait till after new years? Have interviews pending with Google, Nutanix, Cruise, Lyft, Oracle, Twilio, and others. There is also the chance of getting an easier interview panel.
I just talked to my recruiter today about next steps including on sites. He made it pretty clear they are cognizant of vacations and such so on sites would be scheduled around that which may delay things longer than usual during the holidays. He just asked for my patience as something that might take a week normally could take 2 or 3. This was Google.
Why would they set you up with a set of irrelevant interviewers in the first place? Your recruiter will tell you if they can't round up the appropriate interviewers.
It may not be irrelevant to them. I’ve been interviewed by data scientists and sres for software roles before. Now, being interviewed by a pm, qa, or a fresh grad would be totally different.
Right and they later said "Sorry we didn't get the right people to interview you and you'll need to interview again"?
