I had an interview with IBM. The manager was in my support ( based from our previous interview) but the lead and other members didn't seem to be convinced. After interview, I was told someone will reach out to me. Now, should I reach out to manager and agree that I could satisfy all of the queries of the team members but assure him that I can learn things quickly.
If your direct coworkers didn’t want to work with you - and he manager did - is that a team you really would want to be a part of?
Well, I assume things will sail smooth after the gap has been bridge. Or won't they?
You should make a career out of assumptions. What could go wrong?
Right then. Won't email.
You can, but don't be needy - "please please hire me, I'll be a good employee, I promise!". Not getting back, even if they decided to move on with someone else, is pretty telling of them and how they view and treat people. I wouldn't want to work with folks that won't take 5m to share their decision with me.
I know non-tech folks (mostly hr type) always tell you to write follow up emails etc. but I don’t any of that ever helps. It just makes you look desperate, if they don’t like you, an email isn’t going improve your performance results.
Nothing wrong with sending a thank you for the opportunity to meet and discuss candidacy for the role. Or to convey you're still interested. But do NOT appear thirsty or needy in any way. Just thanks for your time. Other posters are right, you may be dodging a bullet
Shut-up and keep calm. if they value you they will get back! If they don't..they don't deserve.
Wow! This reply a actually hit me. I will shut up then.
