Should the US strip Justin Bieber of his green card?

Jul 9, 2018 30 Comments

If rules were truly universal for everyone, why should he be allowed to stay here? Send him back to Canada!

1. Multiple counts of assaults in 2013 alone, in Argentina and Toronto.
2. Charged with vandalism in 2014.
3. DUI arrest in 2014.
4. Heโ€™s been photographed smoking weed. Admitting to having smoked weed in front of a border officer is enough of a reason to be banned for life from the US, reportedly.

There are citizens of other countries seeing their visas and green cards revoked for much less.

USA wants Bieber taxes to pay military expenses. His taxes finance more bombs than yours so yes he keeps his green card ๐Ÿ˜…

    • He also provides entertainment for the people, so people are distracted and donโ€™t realize how theyโ€™re being taken advantage of by those in power, and are still happy.

Bieber is here on an O-1B visa. Let's not pretend illegal immigrants bring in the tax dollars he brings in. This is a troll post.

    • Iโ€™m being provocative on purpose, yes.
Being charged with assault would get most aliens deported.

^assuming they don't settle out court. I've known a couple H1B holders get charged with assault and they're still here. I'd like to see your numbers to determine "most" aliens get deported. Illegal aliens? That's a different story.

Most of that stuff didn't lead to actual criminal charges. The weed one is dumb and also no charges. For assault stuff he most likely settled and the charges were probably dropped.

Not that he has more rights. I mean most people don't actually file charges when someone punches them but when it's someone rich and famous they will file to get money out of it. Bieber has money and so he can settle and not get the charges often times. But that doesn't mean he has more rights. You work at Microsoft so I assume you're not poor, most people I know who get speeding tickets will go to court to challenge it. If you're poor you likely can't afford to take the time off and may just pay it. Do you have more rights than the poor person there because you can afford to challenge your accusors? You definitely have more privilege, but that's not the same thing as a right.

Also Bieber has gotten the US more tax revenue than most of us will earn in our entire life times.

Like heโ€™s actually seeking citizenship. Did we deport John Lennon for doing drugs?

    • Laws were more lax in 60s with regards to immigration

And we wouldnโ€™t have deported Lennon for the same reason we wonโ€™t deport the Beibs. Find one thing heโ€™s been found to be guilty of other than being an epic douche that gets under peopleโ€™s skin?

Rich people from all over the world do what they want and can afford to avoid legal problems for themselves because of their wealth. This isnโ€™t new. Itโ€™s been like this forever. Has nothing to do with strict or lax immigration laws.
