As the title says, should you ask for interview feedback if you get an offer? What do recruiters prefer?
I did too. Before accepting the offer I spoke to my HM. I wanted to know what his feedback was, I actually focused on weaknesses he saw. He was very impressed.
I guess you can, though that discussion tends to be confidential for good reasons (liability). Maybe at smaller startups where you can easily reach out to the specific person, it's less locked down. I usually know exactly how I did, walking out of the interview. I've asked for feedback when I got really surprising results one way or the other, but was always denied it (again, definitely for good reason, though it would be nice to see an anonymized summary).
I always do. Usually I don’t go through the recruiters since they’re obligated to say no. I just ask the people I interviewed with later and ask what I could do better
