YC keeps showing off Instacart -- so much so that in the yday's Demo Day too. If only they spoke up about the layoffs & first hires given the short-hand.

It's a mandate that companies must file reports about layoffs to the govt so that unemployment benefits are not abused.

This is scary. Hope it's not the new norms and not because of recession warnings.
In my old company layoffs were an alternative to PIP: when you tell managers to get rid of the bottom 1%, it is much faster to process than give 6 months PIP notice.
Which was your old company -- if I may ask?
Does it show layoffs from companies other than California?
As of now only for California based companies.

How do you know future layoffs? some of the dates are well into November, December '19...
How often is the data refreshed here? See future layoffs too here but why is the sort so screwed up? 🤷
