So much hate on Uber in these recent years. Back in 2015, Uber was like one of theses “ALLSTAR” startup on par with Google and FB. It is true, we also see so many ex-Google/FB-er working at Uber even in 2018. But I noticed so much hate against Uber in the last two years or so. For example, People are making fun of Uber”s IPO plan, and say something like “Uber Fan boy, your company is forever in the pre-IPO news”. To some point, I started to wonder, Is it political correct to say something bad against Uber?
Where do you see this hate? May be you are getting click-baited. The more you click on one kind of posts, the more internet serves you same shit. Facebook for instance, is way more hated at the moment. Do Not even get me started about Oath lol. Btw lot of your poll responders will be troll here.

I love Uber and I think it is doing great!
I’ve heard a lot of bad things about Uber under the previous CEO. Seems like the new CEO is actually a decent human being and he’s doing a good job. But the history is enough for me to stick with Lyft.
Although I do think Lyft wouldn’t have been possible without Uber. Uber’s mindset of “if it seems like they’re not enforcing the law, we’ll break it” paved the way to allow Lyft to not be as terrible.
Exactly this. I haven't used the Uber app in 2 yrs. Between the stories of company culture, and the constant pushing boundries of the law, it will take a while for me to decide to use it again.
Lol, meanwhile Verizon stopped using Salesforce. There goes one $200B company from your portfolio while Uber lost one app user. 😂😂😂
Bye bye Verizon! don't let the door hit you on the way out! Also, Oath is a failed experiment! LOL!
People were skeptical all the time, including the times when Uber was spending investors money on paying drivers on top of what customers were paying and everyone expected that once this extra money is over drivers will realize they earl less than minimal wage.
I haven’t used Uber since I changed my phone number years ago and their shitty app will only 2FA with my old number and I give zero 💩 to fix it. So I use Lyft instead, which according to all the drivers I talk to, treats their drivers much better than Uber does. That’s good enough for my continued business.
Who cares
Wow, do you not even know the history of your own company? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uber read the Criticism section.
We do the right thing. Period.
“It was always my dream to give middle aged people a chance to make less than $4 an hour with their 2003 Toyota Corolla driving around drunk millennials” @Exnuber, real quote from his interview.
But it's impossible to register for Uber with car makes that are older than 2007.
