Startup Patents - how quickly did you get them ? Provisional vs actual ?

How long did it take for your patents in general to be approved ?

Did you initially file the provisional one ? And later promoted to actual after getting a funding round ?

How useful were the patents for funding rounds ?

Partial answer: provisional is to lock the date of application. After that you have one year to change that to a patent application. Once applied it will get reviewed and awarded or rejected(may take months to years). All you need to do is pay the patent fee.

Awarded Patents are generally useful in the funding rounds.
